I love to plan...

Planning is one of my favorite activities. It is why I am good at my job in a lot of ways, because that is all about planning and then executing on plans. And regulating on people when they do not! And it is why I am well-suited to our annoying sport which makes us sign up for races far in advance. Not only do they often sell out if we procrastinate, but many races are way cheaper to enter if you decide on them far in advance. Ever since REV3 announced a race in Maine I knew I had to do it and it works out well with my schedule for next year. So I decided to sign up almost a year in advance to save $40! I have to say I am SO excited to go back to Maine (I went to college there) for a race. It is such a beautiful state, it will be hard to race fast because I'll just want to look at the scenery. Oh I just can't wait!!

It won't be fall, and I hope the ride isn't on dirt, but just imagine this!!!

Speaking of planning, I did also just have to do some crazy planning to make it to Ironman Wisconsin in between two weeks in Houston. The timing did not work out that great but I will figure it out and worst case I won't train very much next week, which is honestly probably better! And I will make it to all the places I need to go, with a little help from the universe and United Airlines. Keep your fingers crossed for me that I make it to everywhere I need to go!! Nothing like making things a little more interesting 10 days before an Ironman.

I will soon unveil my whole 2012 schedule which sadly (or not if you are a super planner like me) is pretty much nailed down. I think it will be a fun year!!

  5. I wish it would like that here in Colorado right now. Thank goodness for this weather, I am so over these 95 plus degree days! Ahem, back on topic. I am so excited for you this weekend! This race will be the culmination of a very long year's worth of hard work and dedication. Crossing that finish line will be such a delicious treat!!! Good luck and race fast!
